Solution Climbing Shoe (Men's)

The La Sportiva Solution is one of the most famous climbing shoes ever made, and for a serious climber it's a dream gift. It's an aggressive shoe, which means it has a strong downward curve (climbers call this "downturned") that hooks the toes onto small holds on steep, overhanging rock. This is a performance tool, not a comfy starter shoe.

Buy this for a climber who's experienced and obsessed with bouldering (climbing short, hard walls without ropes, over a thick crash pad) or with hard overhanging routes. If they're always talking about their "project" or trying to send something at their limit, the Solution is built for exactly that.

The feature it's known for is a locked-in heel that makes heel hooks feel secure. (A heel hook is when a climber latches their heel onto a hold to pull the body inward.)
